Our latest free TeleCourse, "An Introduction to Surviving and Thriving as a Professional Storyteller," was last Monday. A dozen or so participants learned new things and remembered old things they had forgotten they knew. Trish from Michigan writes:"I am writing this email in response to your request for feedback on last Monday’s teleconference. I would highly recommend this type of education for anyone wishing to learn more about their craft. I have spent a lot of money and time on books, tapes, and marketing to date and this format is what I am ready for at this point of my storytelling career/journey. The first half of the conference my pencil was flying and my head was continually nodding as I took notes and was validated on what I am currently doing and need to do next to make my work successful. The second half made me realize that I am not alone in this; in fact, it is a journey shared by artists all over this country and at many stages of the game. It also told me that my art takes many forms, something that I already knew, and needed to be reminded of. The fact that Sean emails the conference notes to his participants makes it extra convenient. Lastly, this was most valuable because of the continual resources available at www.storyteller.net made handy by Sean and his storytelling colleagues. I will not hesitate to make use of this great resource should a relevant topic come up in the near future. Sean rocks!" Our next free TeleCourse is "Telling to Tweens and Teens: An Introduction" and will be offered on Monday evening, July 23.
